Fear more chilling than rumors of UFOs and Bigfoot roaming the pine forest grips the rural town of Pine Hollow. Every six months, a woman traveling alone on Old Mill Road falls victim to a serial killer. Even more frightening, most believe a hated neighbor is the slayer. Six months have passed since he last murdered. Time has come for him to strike again.
As far back as Lori can remember Beth has taken things from her. As kids, Beth took her Popsicle. In high school, Beth took her boyfriends. This time Beth has gone too far. Lori is out to get even.
At the Hamilton Mills’ annual company picnic, she drains Beth’s gas tank. So as Beth drives home alone through the woods, her car will stop running, and she’ll become the killer’s next victim.
Just before nightfall, the picnic ends. Lori is preparing to leave when Jared calls to say his car has run out of gas stranding him in the heart of the pinewoods. While Lori rushes to pick him up, she suffers her own car trouble.
Terrified and alone, surrounded by the dark and dense forest, she hears strange rustlings in the pines. Soon, the crunching sounds of footsteps on the pavement draw near.
Suddenly, a shadow looms before her. Horrified, Lori recognizes the moonlit, knife-wielding figure. Aware that she’s the killer’s next victim, she races screaming through the night.
